Remodeling your home's kitchen gives you the opportunity to really do some customizations that you've always wanted. Here are some ideas to consider when customizing your kitchen cabinets.

Pull-Out Filler Storage Rack

One kitchen storage problem that people run into is having various spices, canisters, and other items on a shelf, where items are buried behind each other. When it comes time to find something, you're often moving things around to see what's in the back and ruining your organization. A pull-out filler storage rack is a very thin drawer that is built into your top or bottom cabinets, but it allows you to place thin items in an easy-to-access way where you can instantly see everything.

Recessed Paper Towel Cutouts

Everyone needs easy access to paper towels in a kitchen, but they end up taking up valuable counter space or are attached awkwardly to the side of an upper cabinet. Thankfully, you can customize your cabinets so that you have a recessed paper towel cutout. This allows you to hide that paper towel roll beneath the upper cabinets so that you can pull down and rip off a sheet when you need it.

Tip-Up Cabinet Doors

Those small cabinets above a stove or refrigerator do not need to be awkward spaces to use. Consider replacing the normal door with a tip-up cabinet door. The hinge is located at the top of the door to make it easier to reach inside and grab what you want.

Lazy Susan Corner Cabinet

That space deep within a corner cabinet does not have to be lost due to it being inaccessible. It's possible to install a lazy susan within that corner cabinet so that the shelf spins in a complete circle. This allows you to easily gain access to everything in the back of the cabinet so that it is not forgotten about.

Pull-Out Bottom Shelves

The bottom shelves of cabinets are another area that is hard to access. This can be fixed by installing pull-out bottom shelves. While it doesn't always make sense to use one based on what you are storing, it allows you to easily reach what is hidden in the back of this hard-to-reach part of your kitchen storage.

Built-In Wine Rack

Love to drink wine regularly? It may not make sense to use a countertop wine rack when you can build one right into your upper cabinets. It will end up saving you space and function as a design element of your cabinets since the bottles typically have a nice visual appeal.
